Daily Words of Encouragement – September 21 – Fr Osita Eze

 In Homilies

“For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.” We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Child of God, the Lord invites us today to live a life worthy of our Christian calling; a life of lowliness of heart, meekness, patience, endurance, forbearing one another in love and striving for peace with one another.

Forget about your past life. Forget that ancient quarrel and hateful feelings. Just embrace the present pattern of life Christ is leading you into.

No one is ever too late to be saved by God’s amazing grace. Like St. Matthew whom we celebrate today, we too can begin anew but we must let go of all that enslaves us and follow Jesus with all our heart.

The right time is now. May God Almighty continue to draw you closer to Himself and grant you the graces necessary for a holy and just life so as to merit to be called a child of God + Amen! Good morning and remain blessed. St Matthew pray for us.
