2019 Harvest activities kick off in Asokoro
The activities leading to the 2019 Harvest and Bazaar began Sunday with the launching of the Church Pews project at the Church of the Assumption Parish, Asokoro.
Chairman of the Harvest Planning Committee, Ambassador Charles Ojugbana, who anchored the programme during all the Masses encourage all Parishioners to participate actively to make this years event a huge success.
While revealing the theme of the Harvest, “Let’s Build for the Lord”, Ojugbana informed Parishioners that the committee had begun work in earnest and have jointly raised 1.5 million naira. He also informed the Parishioners of the various subcommittee’s and the state of work so far.
The chairman also informed the parishioners of key dates leading towards the harvest. These are; the Harvest Thanksgiving & Bazaar (Sunday, 10th Nov); the Harvest Dinner (Friday, 8th Nov); the Children’s Harvest (Sunday, 3rd Nov); Family Aerobics & Breakfast Picnic (Saturday, 2nd Nov); and the Family Thanksgiving which commences on Sunday, 6th Oct.
Furthermore, in addition to the Pews project, the chairman revealed legacy projects, which the Harvest committee hopes to achieve before the Harvest day proper. These include: an Information Desk, New Projectors and an Integrated Public Address Sound System.
The chairman concluded by encouraging the Parishioners to support the work of the committee and also donate generously towards the Harvest. This is because the participation of all is crucial to the success of the projects
